Alright, so Monday isn't exactly a popular day of the week, but I ADORE it because the TV is amazing. There is far too much that comes on that I can't even deal. I feel pathetic, but then I get over it. Here's the breakdown:
#1 Pretty Little Liars-
OMG... I am riveted every week by this show. A little bit of me died seeing Ezra and Aria not able to be together. Him telling her to never call him again-- HEARTBREAKING! But, at the same time I feel creepy rooting for this minor and a TEACHER to get together. Sigh, the problems with young love.
The big deal of the week, other than every character on this show STRUGGLING with every aspect of life, poor things, was Lucas. I am torn! I don't think he is part of "A". I really think his problem was with Caleb and Hana and being the third wheel. OH, and I think poor Lucas was nearly drowned by Mona who I DO think is hooked up with this "A" chick somehow. We shall see I suppose
#2 The Lying Game
ABC Family isn't exactly very "family" with all of this stuff about lying and murder and sex, but oh well. Keeping with the lying theme I'll talk about my obsession with this show. Last week's season opener was a little bit of a let down and a bit confusing. This week's episode was just frustrating. Duh, Sutton wasn't dead. No TV is gutsy enough these days to kill off a main character. And where would the show go if Sutton were dead, so that was annoying. Frustrating as well is how dumb these people are. Laurel being randomly dumped and falling for the whole "I'm with somebody else" thing was dumb. Obviously he was pushing her away. DUH! Anybody could see that. But why? AND WHAT DID THAT AUTOPSY SAY? I tried to read it with no luck.
#3 RHOBH
Oh yes, I'm a Real Housewives junkie...but ONLY for BH, OC, and NYC. The others are TERRIBLE. But, last night's episode was sort of a let down. It is SAD to see Kim and her substance induced stupor with this freak show of a guy. It was not entertaining...it was sad. Same with Taylor's conversation with what's her name. Taylor makes me sad.
What doesn't make me sad? Maurico in a bathing. Yummy. This show didn't impress me this week, so I'll just leave it at that.
#4 The Bachelor
Ben = Blah. He's boring, but I do find him likable. He's FAR better than the two (maybe even three) moron guys that they've had before him. At least this guy isn't a total tool. Do I think he'll find love? Eh, probably not, but I haven't yet hit up Reality Steve to find out if he does or not.
NEXT WEEK! GOSSIP GIRL gets thrown into the mix. This week's installment is a bit week because the shows were a bit week. Perhaps my expectations are too high, but these shows need to step up their game.
BETTER NEWS! Mad Men comes back on March 25. Man I love a good character study and nobody does it better than Man Men.
